Strawberries are one of our most popular fruits for good reason; they grow well in beds, containers, and baskets, and their delicious harvest is so very sweet.
Plant strawberries in full sun and in soil that is rich in organic matter (we like Sloat Stone Loam Builder). Use mulch to provide good air circulation, hold in moisture, and control weeds. Since they have shallow roots they’ll need regular water. Strawberry plants are hungry growers, so feed them during the growing season with Maxsea All-purpose fertilizer or E.B.
