Tomato tips:
Remember to plant tomatoes deep. The tomato will send roots out from the buried stem, making it sturdier and providing it with a bigger root system. The leaves and shoots that are buried do not need to be removed first. This means, a tomato that is 6” tall can be planted so that only 3” are above the soil line.

A tomato cage should be installed at the time of planting. Small cages are quickly outgrown, so we sell only large cages. Otherwise the tomato plant falls over and often breaks or snaps. By June, most tomatoes have filled the larger cage, especially vine type tomatoes
