Giving Back to our Communities

During our November 2025 community donation drive event we were able to donate $15,000 to four wonderful organizations doing vital work in our communities:

• Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano
• Community Concern for Cats
• Compassion Without Borders
• Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue

Past Donations

• In 2017, Sloat Garden Center donated $25,000 to the Sonoma Community Resilience Fund. All donations benefited the fund’s mission to help Sonoma county residents after the devastating fires.
• Regular donations to Bay Area school gardens
• Regular donations to Bay Area food banks.

Growing up Green
For more than 50 years, Sloat Garden Center has supported Bay Area communities by donating thousands of dollars to schools and civic groups and their gardening projects. Over the years encouraging young gardeners became the heart of this work. We are continuing this support with our Growing Up Green program. Learn more.
