Bee-Friendly Tips:
1. Always spray miticides or insecticides late in the afternoon or early evening after bees and other beneficial insects have stopped foraging (and also to prevent leaf burn in the heat of the day).
2. Most native bees are solitary ground nesters and will not build nests under thick layers of mulch. Try not to mulch all areas when bare soil.
Bonus: not only do native bees keep our gardens healthy, they don’t sting!
