It’s starting to feel like spring! Early season tomatoes can be planted soon with one caveat…they might need a bit of protection if temperatures get cold.
🍅 If temperatures drop, tender new tomato plants should be protected with burlap or frost blankets (we carry Harvest Guard blankets, N-Sulate Frost Protection Blankets, and Dalen Plant Insulators).
🍅 Tomato cages can also be wrapped with burlap or frost blankets, and roots kept warm with mulch.
🍅 Remember to water early in the morning to prevent wet foliage at night.
